Amber and mighty, one of the strongest beers in Belgium.

Legend has it

Pipaix, the village where Dubuisson brews, has a story about its own name. As it is told, the neighbouring villages were full of quarrelsome folk while the people of Pipaix kept the peace, so their village became the 'pays de paix', the land of peace, later run together into Pipaix. Another version says the ground here held a clay once used for making pipes, and the pipe was a symbol of peace. Scholars prefer an old root meaning 'the house by the stream', but it is the peaceful versions people tell.

Beer stories travel from brewery to bar to guest, and rarely shrink on the way.

The beer was born in 1933 as 'Bush beer', a blend of Belgian and English taste at a time when English beers were popular.
The name
Bush is English for buisson, a translation of the family name Dubuisson.
New names
Bush beer was renamed Bush Ambrée in 1996 and Bush Caractère in 2019.

Does the beer selection change, or is it always the same?
