A powerful tripel from Hainaut, pale amber with hops and spice.
The story
Brasserie St-Feuillien sits in Le Rœulx in Hainaut and has been brewing since 1873. The name comes from Feuillien, an Irish monk said to have been killed in the woods nearby in the 7th century.
The tripel is pale amber under a firm white head, with aromatic hops, spice and fruity yeast on the nose. It tastes powerful and full, which the brewery puts down to both the beer's density and its long maturation.
