Oud Beersel Framboise
Brouwerij Oud Beersel, Beersel
Mild raspberry lambic with 220 grams of raspberries and a few cherries per litre.
Legend has it
Beersel has a castle, begun in the early 1300s and besieged in the civil war of the late 1400s, and it has a reputation to match. According to legend it is haunted, but its ghosts do not walk on just any night. Strange things are said to happen in and around the castle only when a serious threat hangs over the region or the country: war, conflict or epidemic. The ghosts, it is said, appear to warn of the troubles ahead.
Beer stories travel from brewery to bar to guest, and rarely shrink on the way.
