The story

Frank Boon started blending gueuze on his own in 1975, inspired by the old blender René De Vits. In 1978 he moved to Lembeek, the town lambic is named after, and in 1986 began building his own brewhouse, the first new lambic brewhouse in more than forty years.

Oude Geuze Boon blends lambic aged one, two and three years in oak, then referments in the bottle. No sweetening, no filtering. The result is dry, citrus-fresh and faintly farmyard, with the fine bead only bottle conditioning gives.

Especially good with

Mussels with white wine, lemon & parsley, or the cheese croquette.

Do you serve every beer in its proper glass?

Yes, just like in Belgium. Each brewery designs glassware to lift precisely their beer, and almost every beer here is served in its proper glass.

Does the beer selection change, or is it always the same?

Both: taps 1-16 are our permanent draughts, always on, while taps 17-24 are rotating guest taps, each beer stays on until the keg runs dry, then a new one takes its place. New bottles also arrive in the bottle cellar all the time. See what's pouring right now →
